Reiki for Self-Care,

Reiki Level I, II and III Training

Reiki for Self-Care: 

Sunday, April 22nd, 1-4 p.m.

This one-meeting, 3-hour class will help you build a self-care Reiki practice so that you can establish a stable foundation of calm, well-being and freedom from stress that will carry you through your daily life, a foundation you can also on in challenging times.

Note: Although I am offering this class at my studio, I am also available to offer this class at your home or site, either individually or for your group.

Reiki Level I: 

I will offer this level of training upon request.

Reiki Level II:

Next class: I will be offering a Reiki II class over three Wednesday afternoons: May 23rd, 30th, and June 6th. If you'd like to sign up for this class or find out more about it, please contact me. 

Cost: $200 per person 

Reiki Master Level Practitioner: I schedule Master Level training on an as-needed basis and work individually with students.  Although I have a basic curriculum for the Master Level, this is also an opportunity for the student to explore areas of Reiki that he or she would like to learn more about.  If you're interested in pursuing Master Level training, please contact me so we can set up a meeting to talk about what your goals are for your Reiki practice and how Master Level training can help you meet them.

Cost: $450  (includes a three-sessions-in-three-days Reiki treatment for the student by Susan, which is part of the curriculum, plus an individual practice session with Susan)

Why Learn to do Reiki?

 If you've ever experienced a Reiki treatment, you know first-hand about the wonderful benefits of Reiki.  (See my Healing page for a list of some of these benefits!)  As a Reiki practitioner, you will be able to use Reiki both to soothe and heal yourself and to bring healing to those around you.  

This ability to calm, soothe and heal is one of the most powerful gifts you can bring to those around you.  Providing the healing that Reiki can bring to others is gratifying beyond words, whether you choose to use it professionally or for friends and family.  

Once you're trained in Reiki, you'll find that even if you're not actively giving a Reiki session, simply your presence can have a calming effect on those around you.

Although some people who receive Reiki training go on to work professionally as Reiki practitioners, many people incorporate Reiki into other mainstream or alternative health care approaches.  One often runs across massage therapists, acupuncturists, chiropractors, nurses and osteopaths who actively use Reiki as one of their professional tools.

Hospice volunteers and staff use Reiki extensively in their work with the dying.  Reiki is particularly suitable for the hospice setting because it is gentle, without any manipulation of muscles, and because it promotes deep calm and a sense of well-being.

Finally, anyone who has family members or friends who could use a relaxing treatment now and again will have lots of opportunity to make use of their Reiki training!

In short, anyone who feels drawn to learn Reiki will undoubtedly find many ways to use it!

 The Heart of Reiki

Stage One Training

Sunday, May 6th, 1-4 p.m.

In this class, I will train you in Stage One of the Heart of Reiki practice, as presented in my book.

At this meeting, you will learn about the overall structure of the practice and how it can benefit you; discuss the first of Mikao Usui's Reiki precepts and consider how you can incorporate awareness of it into your life; learn the Stage One energy/practice meditation; receive an attunement; learn a new approach to self-Reiki; practice hands-on Reiki with other students using Stage One elements; and plan how to make these practice elements part of your daily routine so that you can begin inviting happiness into your life!

Cost: $75 per person

This class is open to... practitioners of any lineage or level of training. If you are not yet Reiki-trained, you can join in after doing Reiki Level I or Reiki for Self-Care training.  (I am offering the latter on Sunday, April 22nd.)
