My approach to teaching Reiki:
Becoming a Reiki practitioner was a truly life-changing experience for me. I consider it a great blessing to be able to pass this wonderful skill on to others.
My goal is to give you a strong background in the basics for each level as well as the opportunity to do lots of practice and receive feedback.
For this reason, I offer each level over several weeks, to allow you time to adjust to your attunements, ask any questions that come up, and practice both in and between classes.
As part of each level of training, I do an individual practicum with each student, in which the student both receives a Reiki session from me and gives me a Reiki session. This allows me to give fuller feedback to them than I'm able to do by observation alone.
At the end of the training for each level, students find that they feel confident and joyful about using Reiki!
I feel that the classroom training is only the beginning. Each student continues learning each time he or she does Reiki, whether for self or others!
I will be offering a Reiki I class beginning in September, over Wednesday or Thursday evenings. Check back for exact dates later in August, or contact me and ask me to let you know when I schedule the next class.
Cost: $210 per person ($200 if you register online*)
Contact Susan for more information!
I will be offering Reiki II again in October, on three Wednesday or Thursday evenings.Check back for exact dates later in August, or contact me and ask me to let you know when I schedule the next class.
Cost: $300 per person ($290 if you register online*)
If you have questions about the Level I or II classes, or are interested in registering for either a Level I or II class, please contact Susan.
Reiki Master Level Practitioner: I schedule Master Level training on an as-needed basis and work individually with students. Although I have a basic curriculum for the Master Level, this is also an opportunity for the student to explore areas of Reiki that he or she would like to learn more about. If you're interested in pursuing Master Level training, please contact me so we can set up a meeting to talk about what your goals are for your Reiki practice and how Master Level training can help you meet them.
Cost: $550 per person (includes a three-sessions-in-three-days Reiki treatment for the student by Susan, which is part of the curriculum, plus an individual practice session with Susan)
To Register for Level I or II training, or for more information (including information about contact hours for healthcare professionals) go to www.baystatehealth.org/learn and click on Course brochures.
If you've ever experienced a Reiki treatment, you know first-hand about the wonderful benefits of Reiki. (See my Healing page for a list of some of these benefits!) As a Reiki practitioner, you will be able to use Reiki both to soothe and heal yourself and to bring healing to those around you.
This ability to calm, soothe and heal is one of the most powerful gifts you can bring to those around you. Providing the healing that Reiki can bring to others is gratifying beyond words, whether you choose to use it professionally or for friends and family.
Once you're trained in Reiki, you'll find that even if you're not actively giving a Reiki session, simply your presence can have a calming effect on those around you.
Although some people who receive Reiki training go on to work professionally as Reiki practitioners, many people incorporate Reiki into other mainstream or alternative health care approaches. One often runs across massage therapists, acupuncturists, chiropractors, nurses and osteopaths who actively use Reiki as one of their professional tools.
Hospice volunteers and staff use Reiki extensively in their work with the dying. Reiki is particularly suitable for the hospice setting because it is gentle, without any manipulation of muscles, and because it promotes deep calm and a sense of well-being.
Finally, anyone who has family members or friends who could use a relaxing treatment now and again will have lots of opportunity to make use of their Reiki training!
In short, anyone who feels drawn to learn Reiki will undoubtedly find many ways to use it!

My goal with this new class is to help you build a self-care Reiki practice that will help you establish a stable foundation of calm, well-being and freedom from stress that will carry you through your daily life, and that you can also draw on in challenging times.
In this class you will: learn about the history of Reiki; receive an attunement; learn to access Reiki, how to tune in to where your body would like to receive Reiki, learn to give yourself a session, and come up with a workable strategy for making self-Reiki a regular practice in your life. You'll receive a certificate of completion for the class. Best of all, you'll learn a powerful self-care practice and become part of a group of other practitioners who are committed to using Reiki for their own care and personal transformation.
Who can sign up: Anyone, including teens. You can even come learn this with your kids! If you're already Reiki-trained, this is a chance to receive another attunement and establish a deeper self-Reiki practice.
Note: Although I am offering this class at my studio, I am also available to offer this class at your home or site, either individually or for your group.
For more info, or to sign up, contact Susan.
